We’re pretty sure this is a term you’ve heard when speaking of content or optimization, but what is it? And how do you use keywords?
Well in a nutshell, keywords are the topics and ideas that define your entire content. Think of it as a one word summary or phrase about what you wrote.
Why are they important? These keywords connect what the public is searching and how your content can fill that need they’re looking for.
And if you want to gain more traffic, it’s all about the keywords.
Because essentially, Your goal in ranking on search engines is to drive organic traffic to your site from the SERPs (search engine result pages).
But remember this: keywords are as much about your audience as they are about your content.
You may think that one word sums up your entire article, but how would your audience search for it? Most of them use phrases or would even directly type in their question.

Incorporating your keyword here signals to Google that your page has the necessary information for the users that match up with it through their searches.
